Orientation Program 2019
Many students and professionals are enthusiastic about working voluntarily at House of Volunteers while having little knowledge of how they can collaborate and facilitate the vision of HOV. To give a foundation on HOV and to minimize the gap among volunteers, HOV started the orientation program in 2014. With that flow, A Volunteer Orientation Program of House of Volunteers Foundation Bangladesh was held on 8th November 2019 at Sirajul Islam Lecture Hall, University of Dhaka. Around 55 new recruits and 19 EC member of DU Chapter, BUET Chapter, and AUST Chapter participated in this program. The program started with a session on ‘What is Volunteering’. Then some core members from the three chapters expressed their feelings of working with HOV. After that with a short introducing session, Maisha Ahsan Momo, on behalf of HOV BD member has discussed the motive & ongoing projects of HOV.
At the end of the formal session, one of the experienced volunteers has discussed his experience of the ground level works for the upcoming core project of HOV- Bangladesh Stockholm Junior Water Prize – 2020.In addition to the introduction of HOV, we engaged all the volunteers through various team-building activities, an ice-breaking session that helps volunteers to know each other and build a friendship so that they can work under the HOV umbrella through collaborations with different chapters and members with a diversified background. The program ended with a self organize cultural program.
